At KiwiTopIA Koru, our mission is to build assistive robotics, AI, and neuro-biotech systems that quietly remove friction so people can live with more ease, dignity, and joy. We focus on supporting neurodivergent minds, stroke recovery, ageing, and inclusive care — starting here in Aotearoa New Zealand and sharing what works with the world.

What We Mean by Assistive Robotics

When we say assistive robotics and AI, we mean tools designed to disappear into daily life - not replace care, but support it.
Small, thoughtful autonomies that help with:

— organising
— staying calm
— guiding routines
— reducing cognitive load

Our goal is simple: extend human care, not replace it.

Who We Design For

We design first for people who are often asked to work hardest just to get through their day:

— Neurodivergent children and adults

— Stroke survivors rebuilding daily living

— Older adults wanting to stay independent

— Families and clinicians who support them

By building for the edges of the system, we create solutions that make life easier for everyone.

How We Measure Our Impact

Every product we ship is guided by three questions:

1- Does it reduce friction?

2- Does it protect mana (personal dignity)?

3- Does it strengthen real human relationships?

We test with whānau (family), clinicians, therapists, and care teams - using data transparently and carefully - to prove that what we build genuinely improves wellbeing over the long term.
